Skyline Hotel & Casino Review

Skyline Casino is located on Boulder Highway in Henderson. It is a small casino with three blackjack tables, 300 slots and video poker machines and a two-table poker room. It also has a bar with some of the best video poker in the Las Vegas area. Skyline Casino also hosts a sportsbook, hotel and restaurant.

Gaming at Skyline Casino

The blackjack tables have limits of $5 to $100 and use six-deck shoes. These games permit double down before and after splitting and the dealer must hit on soft 17.
There is a full-service William Hill sportsbook towards the rear of the casino. Bets and mobile deposits are accepted and there is a small seating area with older televisions.
A majority of the 300 gaming machines at Skyline Casino consist of video poker. This includes a dozen quarter full pay Deuces Wild machines. These games accept bets up to 10 coins, making it the highest limit for full pay Deuces Wild anywhere in Las Vegas. There are more than a dozen other machines that accept up to five coins. All these games operate on quarters but also have a bill acceptor.
Other coin games include Double Deuces Wild, Joker Poker, Double Bonus, Double Double Bonus, White Hot Aces, Sevens Wild and Bonus Poker Deluxe. Most of these games are offered in quarter denominations, however, Joker Poker and White Hot Aces are spread in dollars as well.
Skyline Casino uses a good setup when it comes to coin games. Instead of using the trays that were originally built into the uprights, the casino built shelves that allow for a player to get a cup underneath the coin chute. This makes it much easier to retrieve the coins than on traditional machines.
The coin games are not the only favorable video poker machines at Skyline Casino. Ticket in/ticket out machines spread 10/7/5 Double Bonus Poker (100.17%) and Not-so-ugly Deuces (99.73%). These are spread from nickels up to one-dollar denominations.

Poker at Skyline Casino

The poker room at Skyline is small and it’s only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The game dealt is 2/4 Fixed Limit Texas Hold’em and the rake caps at $3.

Skyline Players Club

Skyline Casino just rolled out a player rewards program in 2018. Members earn one point for every dollar wagered, but there are plenty of promotions, offering point multipliers. There is a special promotion that triples the points during most hours of the day for video poker and gives 5x points for slots play. From midnight to 8 AM daily, players earn 10x points. All machines return the amount of points, even the full pay Deuces Wild ones. Points may be used in the restaurant or hotel.
Skyline offers several other promotions through its players club. Guests that earn 1,000,000 points by the end of 2018 receive $1,000 in cash. Diners can use points at half the rate at the restaurant on Tuesdays and Wednesday. There is a $2,500 drawing every Sunday and $1,000 one every Monday for players that earned jackpots.
Bar guests with a players card receive a bingo card. Each playing card is represented. A player that makes all 13 four of a kind hands receives $200 in cash. This promotion is only available at the bar.

Dining & Restaurants at Skyline Casino

The Skyline Restaurant is the only dining option on the property. It is open 24 hours a day. The breakfast menu includes typical fare, like eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, steak and eggs and French toast. It is served 24 hours a day.
The highlight of breakfast is a $1.49 special. It includes two eggs, choice of meat, hash browns and either toast or a biscuit. A beverage purchase is required for this deal.
The lunch and dinner menu include burgers, hot and cold sandwiches and wraps. Dinner adds steak, prime rib, chicken, seafood, pasta and salads. All are available after 11am.
There is a daily prime rib special for $10.95. Shrimp cocktail may be ordered anywhere in the casino for $2.50. There is a $6.95 spaghetti with Italian sausage deal for $6.95 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hotel at Skyline Casino

Skyline Casino built a 92-room hotel in 2018. There are four room types; Classic King, Classic with two full beds, Executive King and Executive with two queens.
The Classic rooms start at $60. These include a 55-inch television, coffee maker and free internet. An upgrade to an Executive King room is $20 per night. An Executive room with two queens is $30 more than the Classic rooms. The Executive rooms have a 70-inch television, coffee maker, mini-fridge and bidet.
Skyline Casino’s hotel does not charge a resort fee.
