Poker Palace Review

Poker Palace is located on North Las Vegas Blvd in North Las Vegas, and is is the closest full-service casino to Nellis Air Force Base. It is about as close to the definition of a grind joint that one can find in the Las Vegas area. Most of its machines are older, and some still use coins. There is $1 blackjack available, though the payouts at this game are terrible.
Poker Palace is a basic locals casino and the quality of its games are well below average. This most likely has something to do with its low limits and the limited number of competitors in the immediate area.
There are two dining options at Poker Palace, both of which are on the fast food side. There is no hotel or any sort of amenities at Poker Palace, meaning that it is purely a gaming establishment.

Gaming at Poker Palace

The games at Poker Palace are not up to par with other locals casinos in the Las Vegas market. There are just three table games, all of which are blackjack. There is a $1/$50 single deck game wnich pays even money on blackjack. There are also two tables of $2/$50 where doubling down before and after splitting is permitted. Players can also double down after hitting a card. This game pays slightly better (3-2 on blackjack). The dealer hits on all soft 17’s at Poker Palace blackjack tables.
The video poker at Poker Palace is mostly unplayable. We found a couple of 8/5 Bonus Poker machines (99.17%) and a few 9/7/5 Double Bonus games (99.11%). These are spread on old machines that operate using dollar coins. None of the ticket in/ticket out machines offer these games or anything else with 99% payback or higher.

Bingo at Poker Palace

There is a small bingo hall at Poker Palace that hosts four sessions daily. The game times are 11 AM, 1 PM, 7 PM and 9 PM. Weekends spread a 3 PM and 5 PM session. Friday and Saturday also have an 11 PM bingo session.

Poker Room at Poker Palace

There is a seven-table poker room, but it’s only open on Friday and Saturday nights. There is a $20 tournament at 6:30 PM on those nights. There is often a cash game before or after it that is 1/2 No Limit Hold’em with a $60 buy-in.

Sportsbook at Poker Palace

There is a small, old William Hill sportsbook at Poker Palace with about 40 seats. Transactions related to the William Hill mobile app are processed here.

Gold Club

Gold Club is the players card at Poker Palace. New players receive a wheel spin with a top prize of $100 in free play, but most players will receive $5, $10 or $20.
Gold Club issues one point for every $1 in coin-in. Guests may convert 1,000 in points for $1 in cash. The minimum for withdrawing cash from the program is $5, and this conversion equates to a return of 0.1%. Active players will receive mailers that include free slots play and food comps.

There are two dining options at Poker Palace, and neither of them are open 24 hours a day.

Maddy’s Paddy Café

Maddy’s Paddy Café opens at 6 AM daily and serves breakfast all day. This includes the typical staples one would find in a casino café. Lunch and dinner menus offer burgers, steaks, salads, soups, Mexican food, chicken, seafood and liver and onions.

Mickey’s Palace Snacks

Mickey’s Palace Snacks is open from 11 AM to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and 12 PM to 8 PM on Sundays. It is closed all other days. Menu items include hot dogs, fries and other snacks.
